When writing about and recommending places to stay & eat in Ireland, I always find it interesting to read the views of foreign journalists. The latest comes from Denny Lee in The New York Times on a 'Save or Splurge' guide to Dublin, April 26th last. While some of the suggestions are interesting (Jo'Burger in Rathmines), I'm not sure about recommending Lower Gardiner Street as a place to stay! The other suprise is the recommendation to eat at Mint in Ranelagh. Mint of course, is no longer trading and readers will be have to find some other restaurant if they want to 'splurge' in the capital!
