Today, the CSO revealed a very sharp drop in visitor numbers to Ireland. They fell by 18.4% in May compared to the same period last year. Even more worryingly, numbers fell by 22.8% from Britain and by 20% from mainland Europe in the same period. Time for tourism to be taken seriously at government level.
