According to the UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, international tourism declined by 8% in the first four months of this year campared to the same period last year. In Europe, the decline was more steep at 10%. These figures are broadly in line with our experience in Ireland. Overall, the UNWTO is forecasting a reduction in international tourism of between 4% and 6% in 2009.
