€10 MILLION LOUGH DERG TOURISM PROJECT

The first two projects to be approved under the Mid-Shannon Tourism Investment Scheme have been announced according to a report in The Irish Times. One is a €10 million project with a marina, a water based activity centre and associated facilities while the other is an Eco Hostel and Learning Centre. While the projects has received tax-designated status, it will be interesting to see how the investment community reacts to the announcement, particularly in the current environment.
