The Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC) has just released a Report
on the Competitive Position and Growth Prospects for Irish Tourism.
Compiled by CHL Consulting, this excellent report demonstrates yet again the significant contribution tourism has made to the Irish economy over the past 20 years.
It joins a growing list of recent reports which identified the hospitality & tourism sector as key to our economic future including

On the other hand, the recommendations in the Report of An Bord Snip Nua are potentially very damaging and the revised Programme for Government offers little by way of comfort in the medium term.
Yet, the tourism & hospitality sector has the potential to lead the recovery of the Irish economy.
The challenge now is to develop a strategy to persuade opinion makers, economists, journalists, media commentators and political representatives that this is so.
There was never a better time to make the case!
