IRISH TOURISM POLICY WORKSHOP AT DROMOLAND CASTLE

Many operators in the tourism industry here have been calling for a national forum to discuss the future development of the sector in Ireland. Professor Jim Deegan, Director of the National Centre for Tourism Policy Studies at the University of Limerick has responded accordingly. He has organised an Irish Tourism Policy Workshop at Dromoland Castle (April 23-25th). The workshop is based on the successful format adopted by economists at their gathering in Kenmare every October.
Topics under discussion include NAMA, Competitiveness, Aviation Trends, Innovation, Mobile Technology, Creative Industries and Integrated Policies. Speakers include Alan Ahearne, Olivia O'Leary, Don Thornhill, Míchéal Ó Suilleabháin, Stephen Wanhill, Robert Hamilton, John O'Connell, Tony Seaton and SteveMacFeely.
Jim deserves great credit for organising this and for creating what I hope can become an annual event. I know that the event is booking up fast, so those with an interest in participating ought to register soon +353 61 234 289
