I note from an article by Larry Ryan in the Insolvency Journal that a new merger led by Ronan King and Jim Murphy has been set up to manage Irish hotels which are in financial difficulty. Hotel Asset Management Services (HAMS) face a very challenging task. Most Irish hotels offer an undifferentiated product in the mid-market sector while internationally, the model is moving increasingly towards either low-cost or luxury.
