WINEPORT LODGE COOKERY SCHOOL

The growth of both residential and non-residential cookery schools has been a feature of the changing culinary landscape over the past few years. Ballymaloe, Ballyknocken, Belle Isle and Dunbrody are among of the better known. According to Aine Coffey in The Sunday Times yesterday, this group could soon be joined by another high profile entrant. The Wineport Lodge in Athlone has submitted a planning application to build a two story cookery school and hope to be up and running in 2011. A bistro, open to the public will be a feature of the new facility.
