In spite of the challenges at present, some developers are looking to the future with confidence. According to Jack Fagan in The Irish Times today, planning permision has recently been granted for three new hotels in Dublin at locations off St. Stephen's Green, Temple Bar and Phibsborough. It seems to me that the Convention Centre Dublin is already having a positive economic impact even though it won't open until September next year.
