TUNE IN TO THE 'REALLY' LOW COST HOTEL MODEL

Imagine a hotel where no towels, wardrobes, telephones, mini-bars, safes, TV's or radio's are provided! Well this is exactly what Tune Hotels has done. Its rooms come with with 5* beds, two IKEA hooks, a shelf, one socket, a power shower and an electronic keylock system. All for the equivalent of just $3 per night! Rooms are approximately half the size of a traditional hotel with single rooms at 9 sqm and double rooms at 11 sqm. Air conditionning is provided but charged extra. Towels can be rented and a 24 hour on-site convenience store is provided. Advertising space is sold wherever it can; on rooms walls, on room keys, in hallways and in the lobby. Reservations can only be taken online. Launched in Kuala Lumpar in 2007, Tune now operates five properties with more on the way.
