I see that Carlton Hotels has entered into a long-term franchise agreement with the owners of the Days Hotel Galway. Interestingly, it is the second property Carlton has taken over this year. Hotel Management Companies are a relatively new feature of the Irish hotel landscape. The market has become more competitive and Maldron, Hotel Partners, Prem Group and Tifco have all seen changes to their portfolios in the past 12 months.
